View From The Sea by Giita Hammond

Exhibition | July 13th - July 27th, 2022

The Darkroom is delighted to present View From The Sea a solo exhibition by Giita Hammond, our recent curating support to exhibition artist.

View from the Sea is a photographic/video project Giita Hammond made during the first year and a half of Covid, while swimming in the sea at the 40ft and Sandycove. In a time of restrictions, swimming in the sea and documenting it became her antidote; freedom and an abandonment of rules. The project includes seascapes and portraits of the women she swam with.

An Artist Talk is planned for this exhibition but the datde has to be confirmed. Come join us for a dynamic conversation around her art practice, projects, inspirations and many interesting things. The conversation is moderated by Mella Travers, CEO, Founder & Art Director at The Darkroom.
