The Darkroom is delighted to present The Timelapse an exhibition by our artist in residency : Letizia Lopreiato.
Letizia finalised this body of work during lockdown for Poetry Day Ireland on April 30th. Due to Covid, Letizia is also currently launching her project digitally, chapter by chapter, through the dedicated website she created for this purpose and via her IG profile over the coming days.
We followed Letizia's journey of self discovery as a visual poet artist whilst she has been a member of this community over the past three years.
We are delighted to see the results of her efforts in overcoming the so many challenges that putting together this body of work represented for her, above all in the acceptance of her visual impairment, which she chose to see as an opportunity for growth, an empowering force to look at the world within and all around us.
This audiovisual piece will remain available on the Darkroom website online gallery, followed by an artist's talk between Letizia and Mella Travers on September 24th.
